Follow step-by-step with voice guidance.
Thaw the turkey completely if frozen. Remove giblets, rinse inside and out, and pat completely dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, half the minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, chopped sage, black pepper, and salt.
Gently loosen the skin over the turkey breast and thighs, and rub half of the herb butter directly onto the meat underneath the skin. Rub the remaining butter all over the outside and season the cavity with a little salt.
Stuff the cavity with the halved lemons, the remaining halved garlic head, and a few sprigs of fresh rosemary and thyme.
Preheat oven to 165°C (325°F). Place the turkey on a rack inside a large roasting pan.
Roast for approximately 3 to 3.5 hours, basting every 45 minutes with pan juices, until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh reads 74°C (165°F).
Cover loosely with foil if the skin browns too quickly during roasting.
Remove from oven, rest for 30 minutes before carving and serving on a grand holiday platter.
Crispy Skin Tip: Ensure the turkey skin is completely bone-dry before applying butter to achieve that ultra-crispy, golden-brown Thanksgiving finish. Basting Magic: Baste the turkey with its natural pan drippings to keep the breast meat moist and succulent throughout the long roasting process.
Insert a meat thermometer into the deepest part of the thigh without touching bone; it should read 74°C (165°F).
